If you are traveling with a group of people, it may be helpful to think through these questions together. If I had a limited time to tour the U.S. what states would I want to see? What are the most important cities to visit? What must I see? When is the best time to go to these cities? How will I get around the city? What is the best way to get there? Where will I stay? Pick 5–10 of the most important sites to see in the U.S. Think in terms of natural phenomena, monuments, museums, theatres, etc. How can I keep the cost of travel down? Realistically, how much money will I spend on a week vacation? Once I am in a city, how do I figure out what to do, where to go, where to stay? What travel guides should I use? What must I not forget not pack? Where should I keep my money and valuable possessions when I travel? Where should I go on spring break or for my summer vacation?
