Work in German-Speaking Countries

Authors: Will Metzger, Brad Jensen, and Jessica Mowrey

The German-speaking world includes not only Germany, but many other countries in Europe. You cannot work in a foreign country without a work permit. Fortunately, German-speaking countries offer an abundance of special work-exchange programs, which can give you essential assistance, providing work permits and job placements. Complete information and applications for all these programs are available at the U-M International Center. The following links contain the basic information you need when considering work opportunities in German-speaking countries.
