Africa and Middle East
- Africa South of the Sahara, African Studies Association
- Site is not intended primarily for study and work abroad, but offers a huge number of links to websites of organizations concerned with Africa, arranged by topic such as internships, teaching abroad, education, travel, development, health, and human rights. Try a search using "work", "internship", "volunteer", or "research".
- African Studies, University of Pennsylvania
- Site is not intended primarily for study and work abroad, but offers a huge number of links for information about Africa. Look on the Bulletin Board for Job and Grant Opportunities section. A search on the main site using "internship" or "volunteer" produces useful results.
- America-Mideast Educational and Training Services (A.M.I.D.E.A.S.T.)
- A.M.I.D.E.A.S.T., a U.S.-based educational exchange organization, may consider applications for internships at its overseas offices.
- National Consortium for Study in Africa (based at Michigan State University)
- Includes a section on volunteer, research and work in Africa.
- * Peace Corps
- More U.S. citizens work in Africa through the Peace Corps than through any other organization.
- World Zionist Organization, Hagshama Department (in Hebrew, no English)

- Non-profit I.A.E.S.T.E. offers technical interships abroad, and can assist college students who find their own internship abroad with work permits in Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Uruguay.
- British Universities North American Club: Work Abroad Programs (B.U.N.A.C.)
- B.U.N.A.C.'s Work in Canada Program program assists in funding paid jobs. The Peru Program offers volunteer placements.
- Electronic Network for Latin American Careers and Employment (E.N.L.A.C.E. )
- The Latin American Network Information Center of the University of Texas (L.A.N.I.C.) is a superior resource for Latin Americanists. Post your resume or search job listings for U.S.-based and International positions. Experience required for most positions. Also has sections on:

- The Institute of International Education (I.I.E.) offers three-month paid internships at its advising center in Mexico City. Applicants must be able to communicate well in both Spanish and English.
- LatPro: Latin America's Professional Network
- Positions in Latin America and the U.S. for professionals who are bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese. Most positions require previous experience. Internships may be selected in the "Job Type" box of the job search.

- South American Explorers
- Non-profit organization provides information on volunteering in South America to members who may access a volunteer database.

- Numerous links with academic area studies centers. "After Latin American Studies" is available as a PDF and provides listings of scholarships and internships, (mostly for graduate students).

- I.A.E.S.T.E. can assist university students who find their own internship abroad with work permits in China, Japan, Pakistan Thailand and sever Central Asian countries. A.I.P.T. can assist graduates with work permits for Malaysia.

- The Singapore government's site for career jobs in Singapore lists positions mainly for engineers and managers, and has links to other job sites for Singapore.
- J.E.T.A.A. Job Guide
- Site by alumni of the J.E.T. (Japan Exchange and Teaching) Program, one of the largest of all work abroad programs. Site includes a guide to international career issues and links to job websites listed by country.
