Janice is a graduate student studying Higher Education Administration in the School of Education. She studied Asian Studies and Peace, War, and Defense as an undergraduate at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. While at UNC, she was an international student peer mentor and studied abroad in China, for a semester. After graduation she spent time in Ethiopia as a Peace Corps education volunteer, and then taught English in public schools in Shenzhen, China for two years. During her time teaching abroad, Janice organized English camps and advised students in the college admissions process. Janice enjoys learning about and experiencing new cultures, and has traveled to 12 countries so far.
