Erin joined the ISSS team in January 2016. Originally from Holt, Michigan she completed her Master of Social Work degree from Michigan State University (Go Green!) and a degree in Anthropology/Sociology from Albion College (Io Triumphe!). She previously worked for the College for Creative Studies in Detroit and MSU’s Office for International Students & Scholars.

Erin acts as both advisor and advocate for international students and scholars. She believes in the values and strength of diversity, equity, and inclusion and strives to bring those values to the International Center and the University of Michigan.

During her education Erin studied abroad in England and Finland, and traveled extensively to countries such as Cameroon, Belgium, Spain, and Estonia. Erin currently lives in Detroit with her partner (Ben), cats (Leena and Belden), and dog (Cinderella, “Ella”). In her free time she enjoys playing video games, reading, and binge watching British television shows.
