Melissa Deneau is a junior in the college of Literature, Science, and the Arts. She is an international studies major and a women’s studies minor. Melissa has been fortunate enough to have had two internships abroad, one in Italy and the other in New Zealand. In Italy, Melissa worked as a research intern at the International House of Women and contributed to research on human trafficking. She worked at a women’s rights nonprofit in New Zealand as well, Rural Women New Zealand, researching rural communities. At the University of Michigan, Melissa is involved in MUNUM, Conversation Circles, and UNICEF.
