On September 18, 2026, the White House issued an Executive Order extending, with minimal tweaks, for one year the 2025 order that imposed a $100,000 fee on certain H-1B petitions. The 2025 order was set to expire on September 20, 2026. However, the fee was invalidated by a U.S. Federal Court of Appeals on July 23, 2026 and remains blocked.
