The International Center will be closed to visitors for the Term Break from 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, until 8:30 a.m. on Monday, January 5, 2026.
Staff will be available remotely until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, and during regular business hours on Friday, January 2, 2026.
In an emergency (for example, you have been in an accident or are being detained at the border), contact the U-M Division of Public Safety and Security at 734-763-1131 for assistance.
F-1 and J-1 students and scholars: see Winter Travel Reminders for information about travel during the break, including the documents you will need to re-enter the United States. If you do not have all your required documents, you may be directed to secondary inspection or issued a Form I-515A when re-entering the United States. A Form I-515A allows you to have temporary admission into the United States for 30 days. If you receive a Form I-515A, please visit the International Center when it reopens in January and speak with an advisor. You must submit the required documentation listed on your Form I-515A to SEVP within 30 days to maintain your nonimmigrant status. We recommend you keep a permanent copy of any Form I-515A paperwork or communications.
