Join the International Center on a day trip to Detroit! We will begin the day with a walking tour of Downtown Detroit, where we will learn about the history of the city and see some of its most famous landmarks. We will then have a few hours of free time to grab lunch and explore the city. You are welcome to go shopping, go to a museum, or just walk around the city -- whatever you prefer!
This trip includes transportation to and from Detroit and the Downtown walking tour.
Cost
$15/person. NO REFUNDS. You will need to bring money for food, shopping, and any other entertainment. Students, scholars, and family members are welcome. Same price for all, regardless of age (children 2 and under are free, provided they sit on a lap and do not take up a seat on the bus). All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Registration
In order to reserve your spot for this trip, you can pay online or in-person at the Michigan Union Ticket Office (MUTO), which is located in the underground level of the Michigan Union. If you are paying in-person, ask for the International Center’s Detroit Day Trip. Cash or credit cards are accepted. When purchasing the tickets, you must use a promo code and provide a phone number and email (in case of emergency during the trip). Limited space is available and each person is allowed to purchase up to two tickets.
Tickets are currently on sale at the MUTO. To access the tickets, please enter “DETROIT” where it says “Enter Code.” You will then be able to purchase the tickets.
