Mandatory Undergraduate Orientation (First-Year and Transfer Students)
All First-Year and Transfer undergraduate students are required to complete an orientation offered through the Office of New Student Programs (ONSP). This orientation is a hybrid experience, with both virtual and in-person requirements. You will get email messaging from ONSP after you have paid your enrollment deposit with more information.

Exchange Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate exchange students should contact their school/college regarding any mandatory meetings/orientation programming. They are welcome to participate in IC orientation programs hosted throughout the summer, but are not required to attend.
International Center Programming for Undergraduate Students
The International Center will host our annual International Student and Family Welcome Day on Monday, August 24, 2026. Attendance at this event is strongly encouraged for both degree-seeking and exchange international students, along with their family members who travel with them to campus. Topics will include overviews about cultural adjustment, maintaining immigration status, using your health insurance, and more! This is also an excellent opportunity to meet other new international students!
On-Campus Housing & Early Move-In Accommodations: If you are an undergraduate student with a confirmed on-campus housing contract, the IC will make arrangements for you to move into your residence hall on Sunday, August 23rd.
To start this process, you must register to attend International Welcome Day by July 1. Early move-in is not guaranteed if you register after that date. There is a question at the end of registration where you select you’d like to move in early. Information to confirm the early move-in date will be sent to those who have registered in July.
Early on-campus move-in costs (room & board) will be covered by the International Center for all degree-seeking undergraduate students . Exchange students must cover their own costs, but are eligible to move in early.
