60 Minutes Around the Globe: India

60 Minutes Around the Globe is a program series hosted by the International House Ann Arbor (IHAA) and the International Center where members of the international community share a brief presentation about the culture and history of their home country. The presentation is followed by a time for discussion and enjoying light refreshments. Join us on Friday, March 14 at 1:30 PM as we learn about the culture and history of India, featuring Fulbright Scholar Sneha Sharma at the International House Ann Arbor (921 Church Street).

Peace Corps Prep Interview Workshop

Complete your Peace Corps Prep Interview requirement in a group setting at an interview workshop presented by University Career Center staff and a U-M Peace Corps recruiter. This presentation will cover both universal interview tips, as those that are specific to the Peace Corps interview process. Lunch will be provided.

Note: Although this session is geared towards participants in the Peace Corps Prep Certificate Program, all prospective Peace Corps applicants are welcome to attend!

Meet us at the International House Ann Arbor (IHAA) located at 921 Church Street in Ann Arbor. Please register in advance so we can plan how much food to order.

Staying Safe & Healthy While Abroad

Be prepared! Come to this workshop to learn about U-M health and safety resources and how you can take advantage of them during your summer travels!

This presentation is open to all students who will be traveling abroad this summer, and it will especially be geared towards students who will be participating in independent education abroad opportunities, such as internships.

Taste of Culture: Pączki Day at the IC

On Tuesday, February 17, 2026 many people in the state of Michigan will celebrate “Pączki Day'' (otherwise known as Fat Tuesday - the day before Ash Wednesday) by eating a jelly-filled pastry called a Pączki. Pączki (pronounced POONCH-kee) are Polish pastries that bakeries around Michigan and the Midwest will prepare one time per year in celebration of this holiday! In other parts of the United States, Fat Tuesday is recognized by the more widely known Mardi Gras festival.
