International Student and Family Welcome Day

The International Center will host our annual International Student and Family Welcome Day on Monday, August 24, 2026. Attendance at this event is strongly encouraged for both undergraduate and graduate international students, along with their family members who travel with them to campus. Topics will include overviews about cultural adjustment, maintaining immigration status, using your health insurance, and more! This is also an excellent opportunity to meet other new international students!

Schedule Overview:

Off Campus Housing Question & Answer Session for International Students

Join this virtual session to learn more about off campus housing options in the Ann Arbor area. This event will be facilitated by the International Center and is designed for new international students. We will be joined by a representative from Beyond the Diag, U-M’s Off Campus Housing program within the Dean of Students Office, and a Housing Attorney from Student Legal Services. There will be time allotted to answer questions you may have!

International Spouses/Partners Event Series

As a spouse or partner of an international student at the University of Michigan, you may be wondering how to adjust to living in the U.S., and in Ann Arbor. Attend this event series to learn about some of the possibilities and to meet other spouses and partners of international students!

All events will be led by the Michigan Language Center (MLC) in partnership with the U-M International Center.
