Wednesday, March 18 is Giving Blueday!

U-M’s annual day of giving, Giving Blueday, is Wednesday, March 18! Join friends, alumni, and colleagues around the world in supporting what they love most about the University. We invite you to partner with us at the International Center (IC) in cultivating a welcoming and supportive community for international students and in promoting global citizenship on campus by giving to one of the International Center’s funds.

Spring Break Travel Reminder

Spring Break is approaching, and the International Center wishes you an enjoyable and relaxing break! Since you may have planned either international or domestic travel during the break, here are some considerations to keep in mind.

INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL

Please remember that there are always some risks to international travel, since admission or re-admission to the U.S. is at the discretion of the Port of Entry officials.

Reminder - Protests and Demonstrations

U-M recently sent an Important Reminder Regarding Immigration Enforcement and Campus Access to all students, faculty and staff.

The International Center also encourages our international community at U-M to be aware that participating in protest-related activities, as well as certain conduct or expression, may have potential immigration implications, particularly in view of increased scrutiny by immigration and consular authorities.

USCIS Pauses Final Adjudication of Benefits for Citizens of Additional Countries

On January 1, 2026, USCIS issued new policy guidance to place a hold on final adjudication of immigration benefits for individuals with a nationality or country of birth that is covered by the December 16, 2025 Presidential Proclamation titled: Restricting and Limiting the Entry of Foreign Nationals to Protect the Security of the United States.
