Laure has been working in the field of international education for several years. She grew up in France. She studied abroad in Auckland, New Zealand as an undergraduate student, and then came to the U.S. as an F-1 student and J-1 research scholar.
Prior to becoming an advisor, Laure taught ESL and French for 10+ years at various universities across the U.S. She received her Bachelor’s in English from the Université de Nice Sophia-Antipolis, France, her Master’s in Teaching English as a Second Language from the Pennsylvania State University and her Ph.D. in French Language and Literature from SUNY Buffalo.
She has presented on various topics related to U.S. immigration and international education at regional and national conferences. She is the NAFSA Region V Chair-Elect and was the NAFSA Region V 2023 Conference Planner. She is also a NAFSA Trainer Corps member, a member of NAFSA's Regulatory Sessions Working Group (formerly known as the ISS Regulatory Practice Committee), and one of the ISSS representatives on the MAIE (Michigan Association of International Educators) leadership team.
