Ema joined the International Center in 2015. She advises on H-1B, TN, E-3 and permanent residency matters. She grew up in the former Yugoslavia (Serbia) and was an international student at the University of Michigan herself! She graduated from the U of M with a degree in music performance and then went to Michigan State College of Law where she obtained her J.D. degree. After law school, Ema practiced law in private practice for seven years, before joining the IC. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan. She is bilingual (English and Serbo-Croatian). When she is not working, Ema drives her two children around town, to and from after-school activities. She is an avid runner, and also loves plants and her two pets, a cat and a dog.
