Olivia joined the International Center in May 2024 as an Immigration Advisor after working at the University of Michigan Law School. Prior to joining the University of Michigan, she worked for a cumulative 13 years in the fields of family-based immigration law, bankruptcy law, and automotive technology compliance. Olivia holds a B.A. and a Master's degree in Spanish from Eastern Michigan University, and a Paralegal Certificate from Oakland Community College. As an undergraduate, she studied in Querétaro, México, where she learned firsthand the importance of cross-cultural and language immersion. At her previous law firm jobs, Olivia provided Spanish/English interpretation, and translated Spanish and French documents to English.
She’s also a busy mom to a teenage daughter and a special needs adult son. In her remaining free time, she loves to illustrate and paint (portraits and landscapes), go on nature walks, and travel, preferably to anywhere near the ocean.
