How to Use the International Student/Scholar Health Insurance Plan
Description: Brief information about the International Student/Scholar Health Insurance Plan to help you understand how it works. You'll learn how and where to obtain medical treatment if you need it and how to avoid unnecessary expense. Feel free to bring any questions you may have to the workshop.
North American International Auto Show (NAIAS)
Cost: $26/person including transportation and group discounted ticket for the Auto Show. NO REFUNDS. Students, scholars, friends, and families are welcome. Same price for all, regardless of age (including infants). Children must be accompanied by an adult.
May Birthday Celebration
Description: Join us as we celebrate international students and scholars with birthdays in May! We'll enjoy cake, coffee, and tea, and we encourage you to bring your friends together to celebrate your birthday! Meet us at the Student Activities Building courtyard located at 515 E Jefferson Street in Ann Arbor. In case of inclement weather, we will meet indoors in the atrium in the same building. Please register in advance so we can plan how much food to order.
International Picnic
Location: New Shelter (Shelter B), Island Park (1450 Island Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48105)
Description: Join the International House Ann Arbor and International Center for the annual International Picnic for international students, scholars and their families! Come to make new friends, enjoy the outdoors, and take part in the fun and games. Food and drinks will be provided.
Volunteer Opportunity at Food Gatherers
Location: Meet outside the Student Activities Building (on Jefferson Street side) at 1pm. The service starts at 2pm and ends at 4pm. The group will take AATA bus together.
MLK Symposium
Description: Be involved in one of the largest University celebrations honoring the life and work of Dr. King.
Attend, sponsor or coordinate: lectures, exhibitions, workshops and community service projects, throughout campus from January through March. Learn and share new perspectives with other students, faculty and staff from all fields and the surrounding campus community.

University Health Service: Information & Tour
Location: University Health Service
Room: Meeting Rooms 1 & 2 (4th floor)
Description: University Health Service (UHS) staff will describe campus health care services available to students and scholars, how to use services and how services relate to insurance. The workshop includes a 30-minute presentation followed by an optional tour of UHS.
International Center Photo Contest
Description: Do you have a great photo from your experience at U-M, the state of Michigan, traveling around the U.S., or from your home country? The International Center invites current U-M international students and scholars to participate in our 2024 Photo Contest! Submit an original photo between Friday, September 27 through Friday, October 11.

August International Coffee Hour
Description: Come meet new international students and learn about the Michigan Language Center (MLC)! This is a “meet and greet” event, so you can come and go at any time you like. The event will take place outside on MLC's front lawn. Snacks and drinks provided!
