IKEA Shopping Trip for New International Students

Description: Join us for a day of shopping at IKEA, a popular Scandinavian store selling thousands of items for your kitchen, living room, bedrooms, and more. The store covers 350,000 square feet of home furnishings for all of your college needs. 

Any small items that you buy can be stored in the baggage compartment of the bus, but remember that you will also have to transport these items from the Student Activities Building to your room or apartment. All of your items can be delivered to your home starting at $19 when you join the free IKEA Family Loyalty Program.

This trip is free, but pre-registration is required. There are four trip options available. Please see the time tables below for details.

Registration will open on Sunday, August 18th at 9:00 AM Eastern Time. Registration will be available here.

Please note the following:

• The bus will depart from and return to the Student Activities Building and take about 45 minutes to get to IKEA. 
• Space is limited on the bus, and registration is required. If you are not able to register, you may show up on the morning of the event to see if there is extra space available on the bus. There is no guarantee that you will be able to get on the bus.
• You must take the designated return bus for your group. It is NOT possible to take another bus, given space limitations. If you miss the bus, you will be responsible for getting yourself back to Ann Arbor (via Uber, etc.).
