International Student Lunch Conversation (ISLC) is a casual time and space for international students to connect with each other and talk about life as an international student in the U.S. and at U-M.
April’s ISLC will take place at the Hatcher Graduate Library’s Gallery Event Space from 12:00 - 1:00 PM. Lunch will be provided!

Join us for this month's lunch & learn to discuss "taboo" topics in American-English. What makes something offensive? What subjects shouldn't I be asking others about? We'll dive into these questions, as well as answer any other questions you bring to the discussion!

The Monthly International Student Impact Circle is an intimate gathering for international students across the University of Michigan to connect, reflect, and share experiences related to campus climate and life at U-M. This space is designed to support meaningful conversation around the changes and challenges that may be affecting international students.
Through facilitated dialogue, the series aims to build community, offer mutual support, and create room for reflection, processing, and healing.
Join the International Center on a day trip to Detroit! We will begin the day with a walking tour of Downtown Detroit, where we will learn about the history of the city and see some of its most famous landmarks. We will then have a few hours of free time to grab lunch and explore the city. You are welcome to go shopping, go to a museum, or just walk around the city -- whatever you prefer!
This trip includes transportation to and from Detroit and the Downtown walking tour.
The International Center Student Council is excited to host our 2026 International Student Formal! This event is open to students of all study levels.
This event will give international students an elegant evening of celebration in community! The event will include dancing/DJ, photobooth, tarot card reader, hors d'oeuvres and more!
Students are encouraged to come "dressed to impress" in black-tie formal attire, but cultural formal attire is also encouraged!
