On 8/31/18, USCIS announced that, effective 10/1/18, the fee for Premium Processing would increase from $1,225 to $1,410. All petitions postmarked on or after 10/1/18 will need to include the new fee. A few days earlier, on 8/28/18, USCIS indicated it will extend and expand its partial suspension of Premium Processing service until 2/19/19. However, petitions filed by cap-exempt organizations, such as the University of Michigan are not affected by this ongoing suspension. Premium Processing remains available for H-1B petitions filed by the University.
