If you are returning home, or moving to another city in the U.S., you will need to make extensive, detailed arrangements to not only update your immigration information at U-M, but also to prepare for leaving Ann Arbor in general.

| F-1 Student Departure Form | If you are leaving U-M or the U.S. temporarily or permanently, please log in to the M-Passport portal, click on Requests > Departure Form, and follow the instructions from there. The U-M International Center uses the information to adjust or end your F-1 SEVIS record. |
| J-1 Student Departure Form | If you are leaving U-M or the U.S. temporarily or permanently, please log in to the M-Passport portal, click on Requests > J-1 Departure Form, and follow the instructions from there. The U-M International Center uses the information to adjust or end your J-1 SEVIS record. |
| J-1 Scholar Notice of Early Departure | It is used by professors, researchers, short-term scholars, and specialists to notify the U-M International Center that you are leaving U-M or the U.S. The U-M International Center uses the information to adjust or end your J-1 SEVIS record. Please go to the M-Passport portal and click on Scholar Login. After logging in, click on Requests > Notice of Early Departure, and follow the instructions from there. |
