This is a great way to improve your vocabulary, practice your English reading and conversational skills, learn about American culture, and have FUN! Each book is fewer than 200 pages. Description: Crossing Borders is a documentary that follows four Moroccan and four American university students as they travel together through Morocco. With group travels and frank discussions, the students confront the complex implications of the supposed clash of civilizations between Islam and the West. Humor, honesty and a willingness to be challenged all bring individuals closer to each other and the relationships that develop disarm hidden stereotypes.

Meeting location and time: Participants may choose to board the bus from either Central Campus or North Campus at one of the locations designated below. Upon our return, participants may choose to be dropped off at Central or North Campus locations.

International students are encouraged to utilize this opportunity to build relationships, explore resources, share any challenges you experience academically and socially, and support each other. The Chat is facilitated by members of the International Center Student Council (ICSC) and International Center staff. No registration is required.
Description: This series is designed to meet the needs of international scholars at U-M. Each session features a different topic and you can attend as many of the sessions as you want. The group will practice conversational English and discuss U.S. customs related to informal social interactions in a university setting.

Description: 60 Minutes Around the Globe is a program series hosted by the International House Ann Arbor (IHAA) and the International Center where members of the international community share a brief presentation about the culture and history of their home country. The presentation is followed by a time for discussion and enjoying light refreshments.
