Description: Do you plan to work in the United States after finishing your degree? This program is designed to help international students maximize their chances of finding employment in the U.S. We'll discuss how to put together an effective job search, provide an overview of immigration regulations pertinent to international students, and highlight some of the many resources and services available in the University Career Center.
International students are encouraged to utilize this opportunity to build relationships, explore resources, share any challenges you experience academically and socially, and support each other. The Chat is facilitated by members of the International Center Student Council (ICSC) and International Center staff. No registration is required.
Description: 60 Minutes Around the Globe is a program series hosted by the International House Ann Arbor (IHAA) and the International Center where members of the international community share a brief presentation about the culture and history of their home country. The presentation is followed by a time for discussion and enjoying light refreshments. Join us on Friday, January 26 at 2:00 PM as we learn about the culture and history of Sudan at the International House Ann Arbor (921 Church Street).
Description: International Coffee Hour is a great opportunity to meet new people from around the world! The event is open to all members of the U-M community, including international and U.S. students, scholars, faculty, staff and their partners. Meet us at the Student Activities Building courtyard located at 515 E Jefferson Street in Ann Arbor. In case of inclement weather, we will meet indoors in the atrium in the same building.
All are welcome!
Description: International student volunteers will prepare and serve food at the Delonis Homeless Shelter. This is an opportunity to see a different aspect of American life than what you are exposed to at U-M.
